HSI: Information gathered directly from our in-field CSO partners
Human-Sourced Intelligence (HSI) refers to information gathered directly from people in-field - as opposed to technological or documentary sources - through interviews, observations, whistleblower accounts, local knowledge, and trusted networks on the ground.
Sources may include victims and survivors but for reliable, actionable Human-Sourced Intelligence at scale, SlaveCheck relies upon partnerships with in-field civil society organisations (CSOs).
Building Value Chain Transparency
SlaveCheck’s supply chain due diligence solution progressively builds transparency in the global value chains of all high-risk materials and products – ‘top-down’ using AI and ‘bottom-up’ through our in-field partners. We build end-to-end transparency via three complementary data threads:
Business traceability
Mapping the organisations involved in the value chain from source to end-consumer
Product traceability
Tracing how products are developed, processed or transformed (ie ‘value added’) along the value chain from source to end-consumer
Labour traceability
Understanding where workers came from; who they work for; and whether their employment is classed as ‘living wage’ including fair compensation; a safe and healthy work environment; reasonable working hours; freedom of association and collective bargaining; job security and contracts; grievance mechanisms; human dignity and respect.
